The site was ideally suited for new premises to re-provide primary care services in the local area in a high street location with a self-contained car park and excellent access to public transport.

A particular design feature is the corner entrance lobby and canopies to the Doctors Surgery that are equally visible and accessible from the high street and for those approaching from the rear car park.

The external materials were chosen to blend with the local mix of stone and brickwork on the high street. The design of the sail like banners and the internal staircase were influenced by the senior doctor’s enthusiasm for sailing.
