G2 architects was part of the design + build team working alongside landscape architects on a successful bid to deliver improved highways access to the site, a substantial extension to the existing car park and a new facilities building.

Our role involved a detailed appraisal of the Employers Requirements in relation to the sketch proposals for the facilities building, and the associated layout of accessible parking spaces and electric car charging bays.

This lead to the wholesale redesign and delivery of a new facilities building as part of the Contractor’s Proposals.

Studio 1.17 Paintworks

The regeneration of the Victorian paint and varnish factory site on the Bath Road heralded the creation of a new community and the founding of the Creative Quarter close to the city centre.

G2 architects undertook the design of the refurbishment and fit-out works of the shell of one of the partially completed ‘live/work’ units, creating a light and airy studio/office space.

Westgate Chambers Newport

G2 Architects was appointed by a London based property company to carry out a feasibility study into alternative uses for the upper floors above the shops of a Grade II listed Victorian building in central Newport.

The vacant four floors of office space had consent for conversion to 24no flats - the new feasibility study explored the option for use as a boutique hotel, retaining and maximising the potential of the historic features.
